The Cleveland Indians got a strong performance from pitcher Carlos Carrasco, who stymied the Kansas City offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Progressive Field. Brad Hand closed it out for his 10th save. With the win, Cleveland pushed its record to 36-23.

Francisco Lindor, who finished 4th in the AL in hits with 183 in 2018, chipped in for Cleveland with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
