Blue Jays Deal Orioles 4-3 Defeat
The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Baltimore Orioles, 4-3. Doing his part was third baseman Rio Ruiz, who hit 2 home runs. The winning pitcher was Shun Yamaguchi. He's now 2-4. He went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits for the Blue Jays. Ken Giles was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 10 of 10 save opportunities.

Toronto used a well-timed hit by Travis Shaw to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Shaw said.

The Blue Jays raised their record to 25-35.
