Nationals Sneak By Pirates, 7-6
|
The Washington Nationals topped the Pittsburgh Pirates by a score of 7-6. Leading the way was right fielder Adam Eaton. Eaton was 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Nationals. Washington raised its record to 48-30 with the win.
The Nationals procured the win, in large part because of third baseman Carter Kieboom. In the bottom of the 14th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Eaton said.
