Multi-HR Game for Correa in 12-10 Win
|
In a high-scoring game between Houston and Texas, shortstop Carlos Correa was a difference-maker. The 25-year-old helped Houston grab the 12-10 win. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored twice. Houston reliever Chris Devenski was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Rafael Montero. The American League West Division-leading Astros have a record of 52-30.
Correa had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 3-1 fastball from Rafael Montero, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Astros a 12-10 lead. It was the 19th home run of the year for Correa.
"I felt good up there," said Correa. "I saw the ball well."
