Royals Win 4th Straight, Take Down Twins, 7-3
|
The Kansas City Royals downed the Minnesota Twins, 7-3, at Target Field. The Royals were led by Jorge Soler. He was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI. The winner was Brad Keller, who threw 99 pitches over 5 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 5 hits. Kansas City is now riding a 4-game win streak.
An important at-bat for Kansas City came with two out in the top of the second. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Soler hit a 2-run single, which contributed to the Royals win.
"I'm the humblest guy I know," Soler told a local reporter without a hint of irony.
