Gleyber Torres was a vital contributor to the 6-5 New York victory over New York. The Yankees shortstop went 4 for 4 with 4 singles. He drove in 3 runs. New York reliever Adam Ottavino was the winner. His record is now 3-0. The losing pitcher was Edwin Diaz. The win for the Yankees raised their record to 54-37.

The Yankees procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Luke Voit. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
