McNeil goes 3-for-5, Mets Move to 5-2
|
The New York Mets downed the Washington Nationals, 12-3, at Nationals Park. Jeff McNeil led the way, going 3-for-5 for New York. The winning pitcher was Noah Syndergaard. His record is now 2-0. The right-hander went 7.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits for the Mets. Washington drops to 0-7.
Early in the game, McNeil had a 2-run triple for New York. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Mets on top, 2-0.
