Pirates Squelch Brewers Offense in Shutout Win
Pittsburgh starter Chris Stratton had a strong outing against the Milwaukee Brewers at PNC Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-0 win. Pittsburgh, now 9-16, is off to a slow start.

The Brewers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Pirates going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 28-year old right fielder Gregory Polanco came to the plate. Polanco hit a 3-run home run on a 1-2 changeup from Milwaukee hurler Brett Anderson. It was Polanco's 3rd home run of the year.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Polanco told the Pittsburgh Herald.
