Stroman Twirls 2-0 Shutout Thursday, July 2nd, 2020 The New York Mets did little to support starter Marcus Stroman against the San Francisco Giants, but it turned out he didn't need the help. The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Giants, striking out 8 and surrendering 4 hits. The performance from Stroman allowed New York to escape with the 2-0 win despite an anemic offense. "Nobody came to me and said 'Marcus, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Stroman told BNN reporters following the win.
