Meadows's Treatment Not Going Well, Suffers Setback
Wednesday, July 8th, 2020
Just when it looked like Austin Meadows would soon return to the Tampa Bay Rays, the left fielder suffered yet another setback in his recovery from a fractured foot. According to his doctors, treatment was progressing well until yesterday, when Meadows experienced quite a bit of pain during a workout. Further examination revealed he had caused more damage and would now be disabled for at least 3-4 weeks.

Looking at his present stats, Meadows has compiled a .273 batting average in 77 games with a .354 on-base percentage, while hitting 8 home runs and driving in 39 runs.
