Thursday, July 9th, 2020
Josh VanMeter, second baseman for the Cincinnati Reds, was making great progress in healing a torn ligament in his thumb according to a team spokesman, but suffered a setback yesterday. "Josh was doing great in his rehab until he overdid it in a recent workout. Now doctors say it will be at least 3 months before he will be able to rejoin the club."

Josh VanMeter is expected to undergo surgery in Cincinnati(Ohio) tomorrow.

So far in 2020 VanMeter is batting .265 with 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 18 hits in 68 at-bats and a .292 OBP.
