Indians Blank Kansas City, Carrasco Winner Thursday, July 9th, 2020 Everything clicked on the hill today for Carlos Carrasco as he hurled the Cleveland Indians to a 4-0 shutout win over the Kansas City Royals, limiting them to 4 hits while recording 13 strikeouts and yielding no walks. He overpowered some batters with fastballs and buckled knees with sharp breaking pitches. "We had our shot at him a couple of different times," Royals manager Mike Matheny said. "We just weren't able to get to him." Thus far this season Carrasco has posted a 9-2 record, started 15 games, struck out 119 batters in 105.1 innings and compiled a 3.25 ERA.
