Chen Whitewashes Kansas City, 7-0 Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 It was not a good day at the plate for the Kansas City Royals. They came up empty when it mattered against Boston Red Sox left-hander Wei-Yin Chen, who scattered 4 hits across 9 innings and held the Royals scoreless. "We had 4 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Kansas City manager Mike Matheny said later. Chen chalked up 4 strikeouts and no walks in the 7-0 Red Sox win.
