NL Trophy Goes to Baez of Chicago Monday, April 13th, 2020 At the age of 27, Javier Baez might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Chicago shortstop put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .448 batting average. For his efforts Baez collected the National League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 13 hits in 29 at-bats, 3 home runs and 6 RBIs last week in 7 games. So far this year in 16 games Baez is hitting .303 with 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |
