Abreu Stretches Hit String to 25 Thursday, June 4th, 2020 Jose Abreu ran his hitting streak to 25 straight games today at Kauffman Stadium, when he collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Chicago White Sox dropped the game, 3-2, to the Kansas City Royals. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Abreu said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Jose Abreu struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. Hitting .278 to date, Abreu has 9 home runs and 36 RBIs.
