Gallen and Davies Brawl, League Suspends Them Friday, June 12th, 2020 After an intense confrontation, both the Diamondbacks Zac Gallen and the Padres Zach Davies were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Arizona-San Diego game. Zac Gallen will miss 4 games, while Zach Davies was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Zac Gallen commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This season Gallen has 3 wins and 5 losses and a 4.54 ERA. To date Davies is 2-5 in 11 starts with a 5.76 ERA and has 44 strikeouts in 50 innings. |
