Nick Burdi Out for 2-3 Months Tuesday, April 14th, 2020 A blow for Nick Burdi today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 2-3 months with biceps tendinitis. Burdi suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Pittsburgh Pirates are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Burdi's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. Thus far this season Burdi has registered 8 relief appearances, worked 8 innings, struck out 13 and issued 1 walk. He has 2 saves with a 2.25 ERA and a 0-1 won-lost mark. |
