Nunez and Thielbar Suspended 4 Games for Brawl
Thursday, May 14th, 2020
When fights happen, suspensions are not far behind. That axiom was held to be true today when Syracuse's Eduardo Nunez and Rochester's Caleb Thielbar were given a temporary vacation from the game, courtesy of the league commissioner's office.

They both were suspended for 4 games for their actions in a recent ruckus between the two teams. Both benches cleared when Nunez charged Thielbar.

Both players have accepted their fate and will begin serving their suspensions immediately. Neither would talk to reporters about the confrontation.

This season Nunez is batting .283 with 34 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 18 times and has 11 RBI.

During this season Thielbar has 8 relief appearances and registered 0 saves. Batters are hitting him at a .235 rate and his season record is 0-0 with a 5.40 ERA. He has logged 13.1 innings and struck out 13.
