Joseph and Turnbull Fight, Get Suspended Sunday, June 7th, 2020 Yesterday at McCoy Stadium Tommy Joseph and Spencer Turnbull got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Pawtucket Red Sox and Toledo Mud Hens. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Joseph will have to sit out 4 while Turnbull would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. This season Joseph is hitting .366 with 7 home runs. In 11 starts this season Turnbull has chalked up a 3-6 record and a 4.55 ERA. |
