Valaika Gets 5 Hits Saturday, June 20th, 2020 Pat Valaika really sizzled at the plate in today's 14-12 win over Bulls. The Norfolk first baseman blistered Durham for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Valaika was too tough to get out today," the Bulls skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Pat Valaika flied out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Riley O'Brien in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. For the season, Valaika is hitting at a .286 clip with 10 home runs, 41 RBIs and has scored 41 runs. He has 71 hits, 12 walks and a .322 on-base percentage. |
