Hit Parade: Julks Pops 5 Hits Monday, April 13th, 2020 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Corey Julks of the Corpus Christi Hooks. Julks went on a tear at Whataburger Field and cracked hit after hit off Springfield pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 24-year-old left fielder had a career 5-for-5 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview. Despite Julks's personal accolades, the Springfield Cardinals walked off the field with the 8-6 win. Corey Julks doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th. Presently Julks is batting .500 and has collected 1 home run, 8 RBIs, .565 OBP and scored 5 runs. |
