Drillers Avans Named TEX's #1 Player

All week long Drew Avans was the talk of the Texas League... his name and face were everywhere. So it was no surprise to anyone when he was chosen the Texas League's Player of the Week for his exceptional performance.
Avans put up a solid set of stats, compiling a .414 average (12-for-29) and contributing 2 home runs and 6 RBIs to claim the honor.
Thus far this season Avans has hit .276 with 13 home runs, 37 RBIs and scored 54 times.
