Solomon Hits for the Cycle Saturday, July 4th, 2020 Tri-City's Lee Solomon accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. For the day, Solomon finished 4-for-4 with 4 RBI and 3 runs scored and helped the Dust Devils knock off the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 12-4 at Volcanoes Stadium. "I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," Solomon told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout." Lee Solomon hit an RBI single in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Prelander Berroa in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th. In 13 games this season Solomon has compiled a .259 batting average with 14 hits and 3 home runs. He has also scored 10 times and knocked in 16 runs. |
