Mavericks Rebuff Jackalope, 6-5

The Maui Mavericks bested the Texas Jackalope, 6-5, at Jackalope Stadium. Eloy Jimenez was one of the standouts. He went 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Kenley Jansen got the save, his 21st in 24 chances. With the win, the Mavericks sit at 61-42.
In the top of the seventh, the Mavericks surged ahead when Jimenez muscled his 12th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Zack Britton made it 6-4, Maui.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Jimenez told the Maui Chronicle.
